Kooperation Bratislava, Brno, Wien

From 2021 on Dutch Studies will work closely with the Dutch departments in Bratislava and Brno.

The aim of this cooperation is:

  • The development of new courses on the topics of ‘reception’, ‘phonetics’ and ‘intercultural management’ are in development by the partners of the cooperation BBW (Brno, Bratislava, Vienna).
  • The development of 'specialisations' (clusters of seminars/lectures from the existing curriculum at 15 ECTS, comparable to EC's therefore, which can be completed by students of the partner universities (on site or digitally). As soon as we have worked out these proposals in concrete terms, we will discuss with the respective authorities how these 'specialisations' can be used for the respective curricula. The priority goal is to expand the range of courses offered at the respective universities.
  • The long-term development of an equivalency list (a kind of schematic joint curriculum), which will enable students - in the first instance students from Vienna - to obtain a BA in Dutch Studies with a combination of the courses offered in Vienna, Bratislava and Brno and a one-semester study period in Brno (or Bratislava). Masaryk University in Brno has already declared its support for this project and its willingness to open the necessary doors for this.
